Globalisation is a powerful element in today’s business world and therefore managers need to incorporate the international dimension into their decision making. Graduates wishing to work in international business fields need an understanding of strategic thinking in a global context.
International business economics is a specialised field of study that enables you to combine a range of business and economic subjects. It helps you to acquire the knowledge and skills required to understand underlying economic principles and to have an insight into the way institutions and business practices operate in an international and global context.
You will develop the ability to understand causal relationships between various economic variables, critically evaluate the strategic decision-making process in business, and have an insight into global business policy issues.
This programme is for those who have not formally studied for a degree in economics or business who would like to both increase their understanding of these subjects and specialise in international business economics. Topics include finance and accounting, business operations and strategy, international trade and globalisation, developing economies, and regional studies of both Europe and Asia.
